FEDERAL REGULATORY COMPLIANCE ASSESSMENTS
L. K. James & Associates specializes in performing reviews and assessments for compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and the Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), as well as the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act for institutions of higher education. Compliance with the federal requirements are mandatory for all institutions of higher education receiving federal financial assistance.
law enforcement MANAGEMENT and accountability ASSESSMENTS
L. K. James & Associates performs management and accountability assessments for campus police, and civilian law enforcement agencies. Mr. James served as an appointed Compliance Coordinator with oversight responsibility for a federal court-ordered Consent Decree, and a Memorandum of Agreement for a large suburban police department. He established the foundational infrastructure to enable the police department to successfully complete both federally court-ordered documents within five years. With this experience L. K. James & Associates is uniquely qualified to assist law enforcement agency leaders with devising multifaceted approaches and strategies to institutionalize reform measures in order to be more accountable, transparent, and transformative in collaboration with the communities they serve.

James & Associates conducts emergency preparedness, and business continuity assessments in order to assist institutions of higher education to be better prepared in the event of a crisis situation that threatens the operations of an institution. The diverse range of threats to an educational institution in the 21st century, challenges these organizations to constantly be prepared to protect their constituents. Our team is comprised of Certified Emergency Managers (CEM), fully qualified to assist institutions in developing customized preparedness all-hazards Emergency Operations Plans.
